Gratitude Migration

This series was photographed during the Gratitude Migration festival in New Jersey, where the air felt lighter and everything moved a little slower. People danced, swam, built things, broke things, laughed, held each other. Gratitude wasn’t just the name of the event—it was the feeling that hung in the air.

I wandered with my camera, barefoot and sun-drenched, sometimes waist-deep in water, just trying to keep up with the beauty of it all. Nothing was staged. Everything felt honest. I wanted to capture those moments that happen when no one’s watching—soft glances, shared silence, full-body joy.

Shot on medium format film, these images feel as warm and imperfect as the weekend itself. Looking back, it felt less like documenting and more like participating. Like saying thank you with every frame.
