Pursuit of Solitude
Short hike thru the forest at night.
Proudly, setting up the tent in the dark while frogs are croaking loudly.
Campfire. Friends. Music. The dark sky lit up with stars. Fear.. a rattlesnake.
Morning light. Quiet. Making coffee, everyone is awake.
An afternoon nap on the rock. Journeying into the lake.
Swaying in the hammock. Cool breeze.
Watching reflections from the lake dance on the trees.
Calming music. I am at peace.
Night. Cooking food by the campfire. Music. Friends. A deer. Grateful mood.
Crawling back into my tent my own paper-thin fortress of solitude.
